Commissioning (adult social care, children's and housing): Approve a direct payment. Starts when: A person chooses a direct payment for eligible needs. Steps: Check capacity and conditions; Agree the amount; Sign the agreement; Pay; Monitor use. Done when: The agreement is signed and the first payment and review date are recorded. Rules that apply: Care Act 2014 s31 to s33; Care and Support (Direct Payments) Regulations 2014.
