Customer self-service: Close an account. Starts when: Customer leaves. Steps: Request closure; Unsettled items check; Balance paid away; Closing statement; Closure receipt. Done when: Account state reads closed, balance is zero and the closing statement is receipted. Rules that apply: FCA BCOBS 5.1.3; BIAN Current Account.
