Close an account

A person or organisation closes an EDGE Finance account: they see everything that must happen first; the remaining balance is moved to an account in their own name after a name check; every card on the account is stopped with a warning about recurring card payments; every agent mandate on the account is ended and agents whose accounts depend on it are sent to retirement; their data rights are explained, with a copy of their statements and data available before closing; and the closure is confirmed with strong authentication and a receipt. Records the law requires are kept as evidence. The holder's agent may prepare a closure within its mandate, but only the holder can confirm it.
